About
This site supports the indie feature film FOG (Fear Obligation Guilt) and the women it’s made for: adult daughters of narcissistic mothers deciding how much contact to keep.
Who’s behind it
This site was made by the filmmakers behind FOG, an indie feature about going no contact with a narcissistic mother. After the film came out, many viewers told us the story felt like theirs, so we built this as a calm, practical place for daughters working through the same decisions.
Our editorial stance is simple: there’s no winning with a narcissistic mother, only choosing. We lay out the four ways daughters handle contact (staying in touch on new terms, low contact, no contact, and counseling together) and what each one costs. We don’t push any of them. No contact is one respected choice, and so are the others. The framework comes from author Danu Morrigan’s book You’re Not Crazy – It’s Your Mother (Darton, Longman and Todd, 2012).
We aren’t therapists. Where we give advice, we back it with quotes from licensed professionals and link to their work.
What this site is (and isn’t)
- Is: Informational articles, film context, and verified crisis links.
- Is not: Therapy, diagnosis, medical advice, or a substitute for professional mental health care.
- Is not: A place for fake testimonials or guaranteed outcomes. Healing isn’t linear, and contact decisions are personal.
